While we may be unhappy when we lose our door keys, we may be unhappy when we lose money but usually our unhappiness is greatest when we lose our husband, wife or even lover. The difficulties which can arise when people try to get their husband, wife or lover back are serious and people have even been brought to violence, and then punished for this with incarceration. But in this type of situation there are simply no easy normal options, and this is not merely because human emotions are so heavily involved: it is simply that there are different people all with quite different and opposite motivations and much of the time we do not have the options of everyone finding some happy balance. But even in these difficult situations magick can help us: especially in these type of messy situations in fact. If there is one thing magick is good at handling its messy. But also it should not be forgotten that these situations also affect other people who are close to us and so if we lose our partner this may affect any children, even close friends, brothers, sisters, parents and it is quite usual to find that there are other concerned parties who are not themselves directly interested. I feel that this on its own is enough motivation to utilise magick: not that one overarching reason is required. There is a reason why it has been said that all’s fair in love and war, because sometimes for us to get the love we want we must hurt another: or in other words there may be a requirement for a love rival to lose and using magick means that a love rival loses only the person they want: your partner: and not a part of an ear, teeth, etc.. This makes magick a better option because it does not require you to stir up many types other of potential problems and so make things worse: yes this is possible. But for those that want to work this magick I will now present the prayer: this must be performed before your altar with any candles you are using lit.
